The base of the holder is made of a plastic anchoring plate from Propex's Curv® composite material, which is highly resistant to mechanical damage, extreme temperature differences, and chemicals, yet is also very lightweight. The tourniquet is secured by two flat elastic loops. The total weight of the holder is only 10 g.
